Deus ex machina is Latin for 'god out of the machine.' It's a plot device whereby a seemingly unsolvable problem is suddenly and abruptly cleared with the unexpected intervention of a new character. Our friend Brian Awitan of Alpha Industries turned us on to this beautiful book made by Deus.. They make custom motorcycles and spend a good deal of their time celebrating a custom bike culture that first appeared in Europe and America in the 1940s.
