SAFI Sisal Basket

SAFI Sisal Basket

$ 28.00 $ 50.00

Australian designer Kiki Couani spent her honeymoon adventuring across Africa, where she was mesmerized by how local women created their traditional woven baskets and bowls. Smitten, Couani decided to start working with these women via a fair trade organization. Their ancient skills and her own modern designs fit together like peas & carrots.

These baskets are made out of sisal, a hemp-like fibre made from agave plants. We love these baskets for waste paper and the like, but we could also see them being great for potted plant covers, toys and possibly small dreams.
